Where They Can’t See (In A Sea of Gray #2)

I can remember as clear as day

You asked of me, can we keep this a secret?

This had to be the way

Dumbfounded, I agreed

In as much as it hurt

To be with you without any greed

In wanting to keep you and be kept

I convinced myself it was enough

But in solitude, I brokenly wept

For still I hope, wish, and pray

That somehow, someday

You’d want me now and till always

In plain sight for all our days

But for now, I’ll find the strength

To love you in sweet, silent reverie

And no matter the length

I’ll stay, where they can’t see.
